Here at Querido Antenato, we believe that every step of your journey deserves to be conducted with clarity, respect and trust.
That's why we make a point of showing our prices in an open and transparent way.
You will see that we practice fair values, compatible with dedication, local experience and the security of a process conducted with all the care that your story deserves.
The prices below reflect our current working structure. If there are specific variations (for example, extra fees charged by some Dioceses or Comunes), we will always inform you before any progress is made.
📚 Traditional (Remote) Search
Note on Comune Taxes :
The values presented do not include the fees for issuing documents by the Comuni, Parishes or Dioceses.
With the entry into force of the Italian Budget Law (Legge di Bilancio 2025), since January 1, 2025, some Comuni have started to charge up to €300 for the issuance of historical certificates (such as birth, marriage or death certificates that are more than 100 years old).
This fee is implemented independently by each Comune. Some have already adopted it, others have not yet. As soon as we contact your ancestor's Comune after sending your signed Delega, we will clearly inform you whether this additional cost will be applied.
Once the Comune has confirmed the amount of the Fee, we will inform you and request the amount of the fee in advance. As soon as the amount is transferred to the Comune, we will send you the Proof of Payment, in order to maintain transparency. If you decide not to proceed with the service because the amount of the fee is outside your budget, the amount of the Querido Antenato service will not be charged.
The average delivery time is 3 months. However, we officially commit to a period of 6 to 8 months, taking into account the bureaucracy of the Italian authorities.
📚 In-Person Pick-up - Lazio Region (Lazio)
Estimated timeframe: Approximately 2 weeks after delivery of the signed Delega. This timeframe is an estimate, as it depends directly on the bureaucracy of the Comune or Parish. Ideally, you would arrive, make the request, receive the document and leave. However, in some cases, we may need to schedule the collection for another day, or we may encounter different organizational arrangements in each location. The important thing is that we will keep you informed of everything that is happening, especially after the first visit.
*Note on extra visits: If we are unable to complete the documentary search during the two initial visits planned due to unforeseen circumstances related to specific events beyond our control (such as staff absences, strikes, unexpected local holidays, etc.), we may need to return to the comune. In this case, we will charge €80 per extra visit. This is rare, but we think it is fair to discuss this with you from the outset so that everything is clear and agreed upon.
